Field-use evidence and fitment
The crawler system improves ground contact but does not establish a rated slope angle, soil compaction level or towing force. The ML-LG173F is 5 kg heavier than the listed petrol ML-LG170F; choose based on fuel type, duty requirements, shipping weight and the exact implement connector. Request cultivation width/depth measured at an identified soil condition before promoting field productivity.
Compare with the ML-LG170F 212 cc petrol crawler. To prepare an independently useful cultivation test, record soil texture, moisture, initial compaction, blade arrangement, travel gear, measured working depth, engine rpm and cultivated area over time. These are suggested measurement fields, not MLBE test results.
Check the MLBE product manuals and request matching spare-parts drawings, an attachment fitment record and maintenance intervals from MLBE technical support. For a confirmed factory configuration enquire directly by email.
Planning small-farm work with ML-LG173F
Allow room for the tracked chassis, implement and operator between crop beds. Browse adjustable openers and potato harvesters as options to assess with MLBE; connector and working-width suitability must be confirmed for ML-LG173F.
Configuration checklist
- Describe soil condition, crop rows, access space and the intended ploughing, ditching or harvesting task.
- Confirm the connector, mounting and permitted operating arrangement for every proposed implement.
- Record the track and control configuration, starting equipment, packing details and model-specific service parts.
Does tracked drive eliminate ground-condition limits?
No. Grip and stability still depend on the surface, moisture, slope, load and attachment. Use the limits for the supplied machine and avoid treating the crawler layout as permission to work on steep or unstable ground.
Operation and service planning
Check track condition, controls, guards and the fitted implement before work. Keep sufficient space for the operator and turns. Track drive does not establish a safe gradient or load limit; follow the machine-specific limits and stop all movement before adjustments or clearing obstructions.
For the applicable operating instructions or parts reference, send the complete model and production identification to MLBE technical support. The MLBE document centre helps identify the relevant resources. Confirm document revision, included accessories, packaging and agreed support terms for the supplied configuration.

247cc Diesel Crawler Tiller for Small-Farm Field Work
The MLBE ML-LG173F crawler tiller combines a compact tracked chassis with a Diesel engine. The crawler-track layout provides a broad ground-contact area for cultivation and field tasks where wheeled machines may have limited traction.
A belt transmission and two forward gears plus one reverse gear give the operator straightforward control. The machine is supplied with a plough, while optional potato-harvesting and three-line ditching or grass-removal tools can be selected for different crop and soil requirements.
For Cultivation, Ditching and Harvest Support
This compact tracked platform is suited to small farms, vegetable plots, orchards and other confined agricultural areas. Confirm soil conditions, working depth and required attachment with MLBE before ordering so the machine can be configured for the intended application.
Compare crawler tiller configurations
The ML-LG173F is listed at 75 kg net. Compare it with the 70 kg ML-LG170F petrol crawler tiller and the 97 kg ML-LG8D water-cooled diesel crawler tiller. The three models list different engine configurations; choose around fuel type, handling weight and the connector required for each implement.
