MLBE MLD70 / MLD90-A / MLD100 diesel wood chippers: model-level MLBE technical evidence
Source: MLBE published specification by exact model or range. These are reference values for purchasing, not independent measured tests of the production unit being ordered.
| Model / technical item | MLBE published information |
|---|---|
| MLD70 | Published nominal cutting capacity 70 mm; recoil starting; 5.4 HP class |
| MLD90-A | Published nominal cutting capacity 90 mm; electric start; 13 HP class |
| MLD100 | Published nominal cutting capacity 100 mm; electric start; 15 HP class |
| Blade speed | Approximately 2,800 rpm in published comparison, subject to model configuration |
| Compatibility | Wear knives, belts and bearings require matching part references per model |
Fitment, performance and safety verification
The nominal branch diameters are model-selection ceilings for suitable material, not guaranteed throughputs for hardwood, damp or heavily forked material. Request a chip-quality and throughput test with wood species, moisture, branch shape, feed procedure and blade condition documented, as well as the exact supplied guarding and emergency shutdown design.
Compare MLG petrol chipper capacity series and consult model selection / technical guidance. For a complete factory record request the appropriate manual, genuine parts diagram, machine safety information and configuration-specific test evidence via MLBE technical support. Send your exact model, quantity, destination and intended use to MLBE factory sales.
Choosing an MLD diesel wood chipper
MLD70, MLD90-A and MLD100 cover different published cutting diameters and machine weights. Select a unit around the usual branch material and available handling equipment. Include whether the work involves orchard prunings, property maintenance or regular site clearance when preparing the specification.
Configuration checklist
- Describe usual branch diameter, wood condition and whether the material contains forks or fibrous growth.
- Compare feed opening, starting system, handling weight, access and the required transport arrangement.
- Identify knives, fasteners, belts and other service items by the complete chipper model and production version.
Can the same blades and belts be stocked for every model?
Do not assume so. Identify the complete chipper model and production version before selecting knives, fasteners, belts or bearings. A dealer parts list should distinguish consumables for each supplied configuration.
Operation and service planning
Use trained operators and the supplied guarding and protective equipment. Keep hands and loose clothing away from the feed and discharge areas; never bypass a safety device. Stop and isolate the machine and wait for all parts to stop before clearing a blockage, cleaning or servicing.
For the applicable operating instructions or parts reference, send the complete model and production identification to MLBE technical support. The MLBE document centre helps identify the relevant resources. Confirm document revision, included accessories, packaging and agreed support terms for the supplied configuration.

Diesel Wood Chippers with 70-100mm Cutting Capacity
The MLBE MLD70, MLD90-A and MLD100 diesel wood chippers provide three capacity levels for processing branches and woody garden or agricultural material. Cutting capacities range from 70 to 100 mm, allowing buyers to match engine power and feed size to the intended workload.
The MLD70 is a compact 5.4HP recoil-start model. The MLD90-A and MLD100 use higher-output 13HP and 15HP engines with electric starting and a clutch-plus-belt transmission. All three models operate at a 2800 rpm blade speed.
Choose the Right Chipping Capacity
Select the MLD70 for lighter material up to 70 mm, the MLD90-A for branches up to 90 mm, or the MLD100 for applications requiring up to 100 mm capacity. Actual performance depends on wood species, moisture content, branch shape and operating technique.
