Hydraulic selection and evidence
The high-lift configurations are distinct from MLWP50T/MLWP80T trash-pump models. A maximum head of 65 m does not mean the MLWP80H delivers 38 m³/h at that head. For a high-level water tank or irrigation line, compare delivery flow at the actual total dynamic head and check hose pressure ratings.
For a properly documented acceptance test, ISO 9906 describes hydraulic performance acceptance testing for rotodynamic pumps. This reference is a test-method guide, not a claim that MLBE has certified this model to ISO 9906. Obtain the factory test points (flow, head, speed and conditions), curve and model-matched spare-parts drawing for the exact supplied version.

Designing a high-lift MLWP50H or MLWP80H setup
For MLWP50H and MLWP80H, include the pressure required at the final outlet as well as the elevation difference. Select hoses and fittings for the confirmed working conditions. A high-lift designation does not by itself establish suitability for a particular sprinkler or pressure application.
Configuration checklist
- Record the required flow at the delivery point and the vertical difference between the water source and outlet.
- Specify suction and delivery hose diameters, lengths, bends and couplings, together with water quality and expected debris.
- List hoses, strainer, seals and connectors individually so included equipment can be distinguished from optional items.
Can I use maximum head and maximum flow together?
No. They are different endpoints of pump performance. The relevant question is how much water the selected model delivers at the actual total head of the installation.
Operation and service planning
Install the pump securely and follow the specified priming procedure. Keep the intake clear, check joints for air or water leakage and never run the pump dry. Stop the engine, allow it to cool and release system pressure safely before maintenance.
For MLWP50H and MLWP80H high-lift pumps, record the exact model and its ML170F or ML188F engine identification. Their published head and flow endpoints differ. Provide the working-head requirement and pump-connection photographs when asking for the correct performance curve, impeller, seal and maintenance reference. Contact MLBE technical support with these details. The MLBE document centre helps identify the relevant resources. Confirm document revision, included accessories, packaging and agreed support terms for the supplied configuration.

High-lift petrol water pumps for greater head requirements
The MLBE MLWP50H and MLWP80H are high-lift petrol water pumps with aluminium-alloy pump bodies, mechanical seals and heavy-duty frames. They give importers and dealers a separate range to compare when an irrigation or transfer installation requires more head than the standard transfer models.
Compare the 2-inch and 3-inch high-lift models
- MLWP50H: 2-inch (50 mm) connections, published maximum head of 50 m and maximum flow of 30 m³/h. The specification lists an ML170F 212 cc engine and a net weight of 29.5 kg.
- MLWP80H: 3-inch (80 mm) connections, published maximum head of 65 m and maximum flow of 38 m³/h. The specification lists an ML188F 389 cc engine and a net weight of 50 kg.
Both models use recoil starting. Choose by the flow needed at the actual total head, including elevation change, hose losses and any required outlet pressure.

Performance note: Maximum flow and maximum head are separate performance endpoints. Use the flow available at your required working head, and request the pump curve and test conditions for the exact model.
Information needed for high-head pump selection
Provide the water type, source and delivery levels, suction conditions, pipe or hose diameter and length, fittings, target flow and discharge-pressure requirement. Request the performance curve for the exact model and test speed before confirming the configuration.
A high-lift label alone does not establish suitability for a specific sprinkler, pressure-sensitive installation or special liquid. Confirm the required operating point and application with the quotation.
